I'm a little late, but I'm here.
My daughter is home from Japan with her husband, and my son is home from North Dakota with his wife. We've had some big events this weekend, but that's another story I'll share later.
So, I've been keeping a crazy schedule, but as promised, I'm back to talk a little about how Accidental Fate became a story.
One day, a couple of years ago, I was driving through the Liberty tunnel in Pittsburgh during rush hour traffic when...
Yep, lol. My car got hit from behind. You all know by now that all things are fair game for story ideas when you're a writer. :)
The driver of the car that hit me turned out to be a very nice gentleman. No surprise here, but he owns a limousine company by the real name of All Star Limousines in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. He did take care of the repairs to my car at his own expense, and my car was as good as new in no time at all.
As far as the rest of the story, it's all fiction. Lou Weiner is a great guy who's very happily married with a family. He was polite, professional, very easy going, and easy to deal with. He even agreed to do an interview with me for the story, and I got to hear about how a typical day goes for him, and what it's like to run his business. Some of the details from that interview made it into Accidental Fate, but some of them unfortunately were cut. It was very interesting to learn about how a limo company operates. Lou's company has a solid reputation and his wall of fame supports his integrity. He clearly runs a five star show. Many well known celebs from right here in Pittsburgh as well as all over the country come back to Lou when they're in town, but from talking with him and seeing him in action, you'd never know it. Lou treats everyone with dignity and respect.
If you're ever in need of limo service in the Pittsburgh area, I highly recommend All Star Limousines. Believe me, if you're not familiar with Pittsburgh and the traffic here, trust me, you may want to let one of Lou's fully trained and certified limo drivers relieve you of the stress and just sit back and relax! (Don't worry, Lou will be in his office, not behind the wheel, lol.)
And that's the story behind the scenes. Thanks to all of you who sent me e-mails and asked. Stop by The Wild Rose Press and check out Accidental Fate.
Have a great day!

I remember this incident, Lee. How cool your muse turned an accident into something beautiful. :D
Hugs, JJ
Congratulations on the release of Accidental Fate, Lee! It really sounds like an interesting story.
I always love hearing about the origins of authors' books. Yours was a good one! I try to keep notes on any unusual stuff that happens to me just in case it might spark a story idea in the future. I've created many stories that way. :-)
Wishing you tons of sales!
Wild wave to Lee. I'm so thrilled that your children had time to come home. :D
