Summer Break

Thank goodness, summer break is officially here!

I finished the spring term at Pitt last Friday and I can't even begin to tell you how good it feels to have a break.

I'll need to enjoy the R&R and store up energy for next fall. I'll have a heavy load with five classes. I know some of the younger kids would scoff and say five classes is nothing for them, but I'm no spring chicken anymore, and I still have an eight year old at home who is like having three children in one. (Those of you who know me, know that I'm not kidding...) My son is incredibly smart, cheerful and loving, but, well...let's just say he's also very much of a hand full. He has more energy than my two older kids (who are now 26 and 23) ever had combined. All things considered, five classes is a tough load to carry for me, but I'll play "Scarlett" and think about that later. :)

Right now, it's summer break, and I'm heaving a sigh of hard earned relief.

I'm still doing some updating. I'll be working on replacing the side bar links I lost during my last updates, and also working on my website over the next couple of weeks.

Today is a lazy day for me. I'm cleaning my apartment, collecting supplies from the grocery store and, if I can get to it, I'll be dabbling with some oil painting for the first time in over a year this afternoon.

I'm also looking forward to getting to a few writing projects this summer. It's been awhile since I let the muse out to play. She's very excited about the upcoming opportunity. *grins*

Have a lovely Sunday.

Lee

PS

Just for fun...Here's a stunning beach sunset video posted by chick2thrifty that I found on YouTube.

SQUEE!!! that you have time for writing this summer, Lee. I bet your muse has been bouncing all over trying to get out. :D

Congrats on making it to the summer break. :D Five classes will take up time. Do any labs go with it? I know you'll be happy when those five classes are behind you, and if anyone can manage all of the workload and a child, you can. :D

You're the best!!!

Hugs, JJ
